38 Years on the Treasure Coast

I grew up in Montana and graduated from a small Bible college in Minnesota with a degree in Education. I was sick of the winters, so I married my college sweetheart and we moved to Palm City in 1987. Almost 40 years later, we're still here, and we're not going anywhere.

I started as a loan officer at a credit union in West Palm Beach in 1997, opened my own mortgage brokerage in 2000, and kept it alive through the 2008 crash. That stretch taught me more about perseverance than anything before or since. It's a trait I got from my grandfather, who never let a setback be the end of the story. It's also exactly what it takes to get a loan closed that another lender already turned down, which is most of what I do now.

When I'm not closing loans, I'm usually out on the water. Fishing, diving, water skiing, whatever gets me out past the inlet. My wife and I raised three daughters here in Martin County. Ask me why we stayed and I'll give you the same answer every time: good schools, good churches, great beaches, and an ocean twelve months a year.
